I had a moment today, while I was driving to a friend’s home, where I thought… “This is what I prayed for.” Even though I am worrying about the same things on a daily basis, I have prayed for this life. For random days off where I can garden or run errands. (Because weekends are crazy and I hate to be shopping on a Saturday when everyone else is.)
I prayed for a short commute, I prayed for more time with my family, I prayed for days of rest and sleeping in and flexibility. I prayed for a strong relationship with my niece and nephews.
I get to have all these things with my current life.
I also realize there are changes happening. Eventually my niece will be in school and the kids will not need me as long, but… I am so glad that in this season of life I get to have all these blessings.
