To watch LOTR.
I took my brother to see Superman the other day and almost immediately wanted to go home and watch Lord of the Rings.
Why?
Because I wanted to see TRUE heroes. (I like Superman…) But I want to see simple men stand up and do right. I want to see true heroism, where more than just one hero fights for the good. I want to see Aragorn and Legolas and Gimli and Gandalf trek across Middle Earth to fight Sauron and Sarumon and destroy the one ring. I want to see Samwise carry Frodo up that mountain and go home to marry his true love. I want to see reliable, good old fashioned, good vs evil where good WINS.
It’s like eating mediocre pizza makes you crave the good stuff. That’s how I feel when watching super hero movies.
