Today I took my nephews to the park. My youngest sister came with us. We met up with my good friend and her three kiddos. It was a great time.
There is a small park nearby with a set of swings, climbing equipment, slides, monkey bars, two areas with picnic tables, a pond, and several trails that go a short distance through some trees.
We had the whole place to ourselves for an hour. Then some bigger kids joined. They were so nice. They played with our kiddos and entertained them for the next hour.
I am very cautious of new people, whether that’s children or adults. I was very watchful to make sure my nephews were safe and that the kids weren’t using foul language or telling inappropriate jokes.
They had the best time. They’ve already begged me to take them back tomorrow.
This is the third or fourth time we’ve come to play at this park, and it is the third or fourth time older kids have come to play and made the boys feel so special by playing with them. You can tell these older kids either have younger siblings and/or have kindness modeled for them at home.
