I need to get off the internet for a while. I have seen so many scary stories lately about human trafficking. I am not worried for myself but for my loved ones, especially my sisters and the kids.
There’s a ton of stories of people finding things on their windshield or behind their tires. People asking to pray with someone or hand her something laced with drugs so she passes out. Being approached in parking lots by older ladies asking for help. Usually targeting women with small children.
Obviously you should NEVER accept something from a stranger, or hand a stranger your child, or sit in your car not paying attention with unlocked doors, or be distracted while getting your kids in/out of the car…
And these things are happening in nice neighborhoods and affluent areas.
If you do find yourself drugged, like in a walmart for example, head straight to the pharmacy area. SOS a family member or close friend. Don’t let anyone take your kids. Make a scene as best you can. Never let someone hand you money or pamphlets or a book.
If there’s something sketchy on your car handle get in through a different door. Drive straight to the police station. Ask for help.
Always inform the store and the police of the situation.
I don’t want to be a fear monger but better safe than sorry!!
