For someone who is stressed out by clutter my house has a lot of it. The two things that I will always keep on my counter, however, are my kitchenaid mixer AND my ice maker.
Guys… I have been without an ice maker for years. My fridge is broken, but not to the point of replacement. It just doesn’t make ice or even have the water feature. So I got myself an ice maker on prime day, and then I waited until a year has passed before I actually set it up.
It was much simpler than I expected.
This ice maker makes ice so quickly! It literally takes six minutes to make 9 ice cubes. And it just keeps making them and filling the little ice basket. And (I’m guessing) as the ice melts, it goes back into the bottom and gets refrozen as ice. It’s just a constant ice cycle. And I love it.
This particular ice maker has large and small ice, I think they call it bullet ice because of its shape. And it has a self cleaning function. Now, I have only been using it for a couple of months, so I’m sure it’s time to descale it and everything. But it has been so nice having regular ice again. Ice is a luxury I didn’t realize I missed.
This little machine sits on top of my counter, next to my fridge. It’s compact. Out of the way as far as counter top appliances go, and I use is even more than my kitchenaid mixer. And as a relatively frequent baker that’s saying something.
