Well… I failed at keeping my gratitude list up to date for my birthday month. But I got to it eventually. My unofficial life motto seems to be, “Better late than never.”

I am so grateful for the new coffee shop “home” we discovered in a neighboring town. Since 133 left us I have missed seeing my friends so much, especially when they have their sweet kiddos with them. Now I drive 20 minutes, but it’s always worth it. Today I’m trying their pumpkin pie iced latte. My first one of the season. Huzzah for me!

Lonestar Lake is my favorite place. I am so grateful my best friend introduced me to this magical land of herons, flying fish and even… PELICANS! (During their migratory season.)

I am thankful for September 2025 being the chillest, happiest birthday month I have had in many, many years. Even though it had some hard moments, it was very healing. Here’s to 35!
