My iphone SE is on the fritz. I know, first world problems. The most frustrating thing is that Apple no longer makes phones with the home button or fingerprint ID. So now I have to use either face recognition or a passcode. And that bums me out.
I have been able to still use my camera cover to hide the front facing camera. But I really hate the idea of face ID regardless.
I went to the AT&T store across town (because it’s never as crowded and because the techs there actually help me out, unlike the store in the south side of town.)
The young man who helped me was super kind. I had to special order the phone I did want, and a week later I arrived to transfer the info. It took over an hour (oops, 128 G of pictures and videos of my niece and nephews…)
While we were sitting there waiting we made small talk (which I normally hate) but it led to some interesting conversations. He asked if I had a podcast, and I said no, and he said, “You sound so much like the girls who have the (Sort of) The Story podcast”.
I have had people think they know me because I have a doppleganger out there, but I haven’t had anyone recognize me for my voice before. It was fun.
So now I’m going to listen to the (Sort of) The Story Podcast and I might take this as a sign that Meagan and I need to start our Lake Thoughts Podcast. Five minute snippets of the best lake thoughts and band name ideas.
Stay Tuned.
