Here are a handful of reasons why I love America.

1. We measure things in time, not distance. If I am going to town I say, “It will take me 20 minutes” not “it’s about 12 minutes away”.
2. The landscape is diverse. We have two giant oceans, several mountain ranges, deserts, forests, prairies, plains, and the very best place… The Flint Hills
3. In addition to diverse landscapes we have diverse climates. You can experience all four seasons in many of the states, but if you have a strong preference you can winter in Florida and Summer in Montana.
4. There are 50 states to choose from when it comes to settling down
5. We are the country of John Wayne, Dean Martin and Jimmy Stewart
6. We like to celebrate everything from major holidays to taco Tuesday.
7. Despite the imperfections there is still a relatively large amount of free choice and freedom to be enjoyed.
8. Baseball (the best of sports in my opinion)
9. Cowboys (the career not the sports team)

Go enjoy some fireworks and give your dog some extra love, they’re all stressing this week!
