Childhood Staples: Snack Edition

Two things have I craved lately and two things did I make frequently as a youth.

One: Chips and cheese. The poor man’s nachos. Tortilla chips and grated cheese in the microwave. Sometimes you got fancy and added salsa, olives, sour cream, even taco meat… but most often just chips and cheese. Zapped in the microwave until the cheese is melty but before the cheese gets hard and crusty. So good. And also so bad for you.

Two: DIY Smores. Little marshmallows and chocolate chips zapped in the microwave and eaten with graham crackers as a dip.

Both things had zero nutritional value, especially after being in the microwave, but both things were delicious.
