When my friends ran/owned the local coffee shop they would host music nights. One of the owners is a musician (a super skilled one) and he invited his friends to play. One of the singers is a dude named Colin Nichols. I don’t know him well but he is one talented dude!

Colin still comes and plays from time to time at the coffee shop in town (which has since changed hands) and it is amazing. I have been able to attend a performance twice now. The first time I did some serious journaling. Like, I got a TON written in my journal. Something about the music and peaceful day unlocked something in me.
It was also super sweet because a young man in the audience was invited to play percussion for the end of Colin’s set. Colin remembered him from a past show and was so kind. You love to see it.
The second time I attended his performance I worked on the blog. Live music just hits different y’all… I was sitting here writing about shampoo and I got literal goosebumps because of his cover of “Creep”. His speaking voices is very soothing. I heard him describe his voice as Bob Ross meets Yoga Instructor and he’s not wrong, haha
