Have you ever watched a movie after not seeing it for a long time and noticing things that you never noticed before? Sometimes it’s humor, sometimes it’s mistakes, sometimes it’s something unseen in the background.
What happens most often when I watch movies these days is my idea of beauty changes.
I am the Twilight Generation (Team Edward thank you very much). Watching Twilight now… Charlie wins. He is the only human in the movie and in my adult years he is better than ANY of the supernatural characters and definitely better than both Edward and Jacob.
In the Sound of Music I have always loved Captain VonTrap, but it wasn’t until recently that I found him attractive. I used to watch the movie for Liesl and Maria, but wow… This one IG account calls it “Von-thirst-Trap Thursday” and they’re not wrong.
The Holiday with Jude Law and Jack Black. Give me Jack Black any day of the week. Jude Law is handsome, but Jack Black is everything.
Anything with Tom Selleck or Sam Jones… Kevin Costner. Some men get even better with age. Christian Bale is handsomer now than he was in his 20s.
It’s fun to see things with new eyes.
