I am not sure if it’s something to do with growing up in the 90s or seeing my Grandma wear a lot of avon jewelry sets, but I have always had rules for my jewelry.
If I have matching pieces I rarely wear them together. If I have big earrings I don’t wear a necklace. If I am wearing a necklace I can only wear small earrings. Bracelets are their own thing (which I rarely do because sensory wise they’re too distracting) and rings are fun to mix match, but I don’t usually wear them because again, distracting.
My best friend gave me this amazing turquoise ring and it’s the first time I’ve worn a ring consistently in many years. I love it. I am interested in getting more. There is something that makes me feel magically put together about having my nails done and rings on my fingers.
These aren’t rules I read in a magazine, they are unofficial Regs rules.
