The other day my sister dropped something in the kitchen and said, “Ugh… it landed butter side down.” I thought, what an analogy for rough days. Today is a butter side down day.
I’m going to start using fun phrases to describe life because why not?
I saw a post the other day asking for ways to make life more whimsical. The list had me laughing out loud.
One girl said she always told her animals, “Don’t have any parties while I’m gone!” when she leaves the house.
Another girl ends any embarrassing moment with, “and scene!” and takes a bow.
Someone said, “If I want to have negative thoughts about myself I have to think them in a cockney accent.”
“I say ‘my lady’ whenever I walk by a mirror.”
“I tell my dishes it’s bath time.”
“I wash my dishes by candlelight, listening to medieval tavern music, and pretend I’m a tavern wench.”
“I tell my hamster not to answer the door for anyone before I leave.”
Another girl lists everything she buys online “as a gift” and adds nice notes to herself.
“Can you hold this please?” every time setting something on an inanimate object.
“I say, ‘well good thing no one overreacted’ out loud to myself after a good cry.”
I love these so much. Any good ones to add?
