I have become a girl who likes to have her nails done. Someday my goal is to have an actual nail person who I can go to every few weeks to pretty (short) fancy nails. For now, I do them myself.
I am going to share my favorite nail polish products that have worked the best (for me personally.)
- Gaoy Jelly Nails – Nudes/Reds
- Gaoy Jelly Nails – Greens
- This brand is so pretty and affordable. They are pretty sheer and you can layer them until you get the color as deep as you want.
- I also use Gaoy nail base and topcoat
- Nail Lamp
- Alcohol pads to remove oil from nails
- Nail dehydrator & Primer
- Semi-Cured Gel strips, my favorite brand so far has been Ohora, but Target has some too. I love these because they sometimes have patterns and you don’t have to add a topcoat or layer them.
Having my nails done has been such a treat and it’s such a fun self care ritual that I only need to do once or twice a week for maintenance.
As long as I don’t peel the nails off (thus peeling off layers of my actual nail) I don’t have to battle the brittle nail issue I was having when using traditional nail polish.
