If you don’t want to fork over $30+ for one of those heated waterers for your chickens this season here’s what you can do. Go to your local thrift store, find a $5 crock pot, fill it with water and plug it in for the chickens. It’s nice because you can easily remove the crock to clean it. You can control the temp, so just keep it on low, and sometimes there are timers if you don’t feel good leaving it warm 24/7.
I made a rookie mistake and got the heated waterers from tractor supply years ago… but when they kick the bucket I’m going to take the crock pot approach.
