The Best of Times

One of my favorite things in this world is going places with my mom. I love to go thrifting with her, I love to run errands with her, I love to watch her annihilate a yard sale (while I awkwardly linger behind because I feel weird knowing people are watching me judge their junk).

This week I went shopping with my mom for my sister’s bridal shower decorations. We have a theme and I can’t wait to take pictures and share it with everyone! (My sister doesn’t read my blog, but just in case I’ll wait till after October to share it.)

We went to TJ Maxx, Michaels and Hobby Lobby. Today my mom went thrifting and found a couple more items from my list. It was fun to hunt for deals and things that would match the theme of the party.

And it was fun to just be with my mom.

Sometimes when I’m hanging out with her, even though I’m in my 30s I still feel like a kid. I want to tell her all my thoughts and all my opinions. I am so grateful that she is still able and willing to go places with me, and that we have this time together.

As we draw closer to the third anniversary of Grandma’s death I am just really extra super grateful for my mom.
