If you have used turbotax over the years you are used to the automated service and it’s secret fees that add up A LOT.
A few years ago I used the free IRS website for the first time and I didn’t care for it. It felt like using a printer from the 90s that prints with the loud buzzing noise.
The last two years I have used Tax Free USA. I love it. It’s like… $15 for state filing and free for federal. I paid the extra $40 to get audit protection. Anyway, I will choose them over Turbo Tax any day. It’s a similar system, but without as many hidden fees.
I had to file an extension this year and save up because of life… but thankfully I was able to take care of it all today and now I have… seven months until it’s tax time again.
