The saddest thing about aging is the weird words that the new generation comes up with. Today I had sixth graders telling me things that I wish I could un-hear.
- Fanum Tax (not phantom tax): The stealing of food between friends. The context used was, “We demand a fanum tax from the Rizzler.”
- Rizzler: Someone who is successful at flirting with people. Rizz is short for charisma. (This one made me lose brain cells.)
- Skibidis: Slang to mean cool, bad, or dumb. (Like a millennial saying, “sick”.)
- Sigma: Lone wolf. This one makes me lol because I feel like Vox Day coined this term ages ago and now it’s becoming cool among the youths.
I’m sure each generation feels this way. But holy cow. My brain hurts.
