Childish Authenticity

When I was in fifth grade I had to write a report. I wanted it to be authentic like a real book, so I added extra pages to the front and back.

I thought because novels have a blank page or two in the front before the title page it would impress my teacher and earn me a good grade.

All it got me was a note about wasting paper.

Reminder: Kids do things to please adults. When you tell a kid something they do is ridiculous it can be damaging.
