Printful Tip

Here are some things I am figuring out about printful, the print on demand company that I link to my Etsy stores.

1. To add inventory to your etsy shop you must be logged into etsy while using printful. Ex: I kept trying to add a shirt to my redheaded jill shop on printful but was separately logged into aunt regs eggs etsy, so even when I clicked the RHJ store on printful it would add inventory to Aunt Reg’s Eggs. Everything has to be aligned.

2. Etsy automatically sets your processing time to 3-5 business days or something like that. You need to check printful to see how long they say it takes to make something. Usually it’s a processing time of 2 weeks minimum. So adjust your timeline accordingly.

3. There are a LOT of products you can sell. Check the quality. Each month you can purchase your items (up to 3) for 20% off for personal samples. It’s worth it.

4. Printing on the front and back of an item will cost significantly more than just one side or the other.

5. Compared to bonfire my printful shirt is much higher quality and has held up in the wash better. A couple years ago I ordered shirts through a bonfire fundraiser. It was very expensive and the shirts are all faded and peeling. So far my printful shirt looks good as new.
