If you are from the midwest you are probably used to driving. But some of you haven’t been teaching your kids. And they’re all coming to Kansas to annoy me on the road. I’d like this to stop.
Here are a few rules that might not have been in the driver’s ed book, but they SHOULD be.
- If you are driving behind someone there is a 2 second rule. If you aren’t going to pass someone you BETTER stay back. Good grief. The number of nuts who think tailing me will help them get where they’re going faster… They’re lucky I don’t get road rage. At least not the violent kind.
- If you turn off your high-beams for oncoming traffic (well done) then don’t you THINK you should turn them off if you’re driving behind someone? If you’re right behind me, even if you’re following the 2 second rule, and your high-beams are on I will definitely be blinded by your stupid lights. STOP BLINDING THE OTHER CARS!
- If you are driving slowly in the left hand lane please move to the right so the fast drivers can get to where they’re going.
- Now this one is definitely more of an introvert thing than a midwest driver thing… but if you’re at a gas station and there are empty pumps all around don’t pull up and share the one someone else is using. First of all, personal space. Second of all, it slows the pump down.
What are some of your driving pet peeves?
