10 Clean Products for Babies: Walmart Edition

The natural movement is on the rise. Thankfully that means it’s getting easier and easier to find clean (or cleaner) products at most major stores. Here is what I would include on a registry if I were having a baby or shopping for someone who was.

1. Baby Powder. You want to avoid: talc, fragrance, parabens, glyphosate, phthalates.

2. Baby Lotion. You want to avoid: formaldehyde, sulfates, phthalates, fragrance, artificial dyes, BHA, parabens

3. Body Wash. What to avoid: formaldehyde, sulfates, phthalates, fragrance, artificial dyes, BHA, parabens

4. Bottles. You want to avoid: BPAs

5. Burp Cloths & Blankets. You want to avoid: flame retardant chemicals, PFCA, PFOA, Polyurethanefoam. (Look for: OEKO-TEX certified, GOTS certified, MADE SAFE certified)

6. Baby Carriers. You want to avoid: flame retardant chemicals. (Look for organic cotton)

7. Cereal. You want to avoid: glyphosate, arsenic, GMO Sugar, Artificial Flavoring

8. Diapers. You want to avoid: Parabens, Phthalates, fragrance, chlorine, petroleum based, artificial dyes, lotion

9. Diaper Rash Cream. You want to avoid: Parabens, talc, phthalates, fragrance, BHA, formaldehyde

10. Baby Food. You want to avoid: glyphosate, BPA, artificial flavors

Unfortunately many “clean” brands have been bought out by larger companies who don’t care as much about the health of their customers as they do their bottom line.

(This list is compiled of products recommended by trusted accounts, such as Just.Ingredients on Instagram. 10/10 stars. I would recommend her to ANYONE interested in making cleaner, better choices. Other IG sources I trust include: @healthykids_happykids, @wplusbydrjess, @wellbysophia, @dr.michelle_young, @holistichilda, @rootevolution, @ruthannzimm)
